So the old patchwork was replaced, yay for progress. I do overall like the old design more than the current one though, hmm. I think it's the blue gradient on the left, reminds me of using FirstClass in the early 2000s.
Hm, been a month since I came on here, nice to see the patchbay progress!
Yes, though you also need to make sure that the second computer is completely in sync before publishing anything, otherwise your feed will be split, and everything will get wonky.
Hmm, I wonder if it would be possible to have an indicator showing whether your node is reasonably sure that your feed is in-sync. Not quite sure how to do that properly though.
Mmm.. Without something like it, or essentially having a centralized sbot and then having all my clients only do anything through it, I can't really use ssb for most of my usecases, since I use at least 3 different devices each day, and keeping things like following in-sync across them is just not something I'm going to bother with.
Ah, I see. Is there a replacement? Not really any info around about this.
I just get
Error: no blob errors when trying to change themes using
/theme. Is this expected?
I've been wondering about the lite client, but can't find any info about it anywhere.
I've been planning on setting up a couple VPSs in various regions, but since I didn't get the job I interviewed for I won't be able to afford it right now. Hopefully in the next few months though.
And now I'm just missing an Android client, been wanting to use patchbay from my phone quite a few times the last few days.
I would like if you could toggle that though, because it's rather nice for discoverability. I semi-often find new cool things just because I see things that have been replicated from the people my friends follow.
Mmm, fair enough. I sort of wish the name UI that patchwork have, especially it showing who has published which name for said node.
I did specify one myself though, which is why it's so strange.
Hmm, @LCWejxZ... still shows up as
kyrias in patchbay for me, even though I've made both that feed and my feed identify it as
kyrias-defunct. Is it just weirdly bugged, or...?
Never trust a demon. He has a hundred motives for anything he does … ninety-nine of them, at least, are malevolent.
Due to some mishaps with reinstalling scuttlebot my feed got split, with the second feed having its own root. Since there seems to be no way to merge feeds together I've decided to start over with a new feed from scratch and will be posting this message, gpg-signed, to all of them.
