Will gene editing allow us to live longer and also settle outside of earth?
Hi Andre, is there a reason not to build the mobile version as a progressive web app as oppose to react-native? I am just curios if there is a technical limitation for not choosing a PWA.
interesting. maybe i'll give it a try. I find the keyboard faster to move around than point and click with a mouse.
I am just playing with the different features of Patchworks... upload an image seems to work!
nice! so i first have to download the image and use the attach button on the bottom left.
Is there a plan to add keyboard navigation? i am used to alt+arrow to go back and forth since browsers supports that. also, is there going to be some sort of tabs in Patchwork?
whats the green number i see on some comments? at first i thought it might be messages directed at me that i haven't read yet but i don't think that's the case.
i am not sure what pubs are btw, but when i asked my friend (experienced engineer) to join and sent him a link to the instructions he said the barrier of entry is too high and mentioned the 'pubs' as the reason. I don't even remember what i did to first join since it was 3 months ago. Just a data point to consider.
I disconnected from the internet and I am trying to publish this message.
One thing i noticed is there is no way for me to tell that I am not connected. It would be useful to have a similar message to what slack have - 'Your computer seems to be offline...'
how to convert a regular image URL to a Scuttlebutt blob hash? also, you can't expect a regular user to work so hard just for sharing an image (:
oh. that's only for content i have seen already. i was thinking i can communicate and post stuff without wifi....
a few issues/questions:
That's crazy. Are you saying I don't need internet connection to use it?
if we want SSB/Patchwork to get adoption we should make sharing trivial. Is there a plan to simply allow copy and paste of a URL that can be pasted into a browser?
An open-source graph database written in Go - https://github.com/cayleygraph/cayley
Docs - https://github.com/cayleygraph/cayley/tree/master/docs
Regarding sharing a message. I am getting an error.
id = '%nqMyQBDgyZXTTkbdnkRGgJPpqwmQn67kS2w+9lkfFnE=.sha256' 'https://viewer.scuttlebot.io/' + encodeURIComponent(id) "https://viewer.scuttlebot.io/%25nqMyQBDgyZXTTkbdnkRGgJPpqwmQn67kS2w%2B9lkfFnE%3D.sha256"
And I see this in the browser:
NotFoundError: Key not found in database at /var/lib/scuttlebot/node_modules/level-sublevel/shell.js:101:18 at /var/lib/scuttlebot/node_modules/level-sublevel/nut.js:121:19
I have a few questions:
http://viewer.scuttlebot.io/+ the url i got from right click on the time of the comment but it didn't work.
Thanks. that works. I wonder why does the shift needed. ctrl+0 and ctrl+- works without shift and that's also the behavior in the browser.
is there anything I should backup so Patchwork will continue working on a different laptop?
Maybe I need to backup the ~/.ssb folder? Whatever the correct answer is I think it would be very useful to mention it somewhere in the Readme (unless there is an official docs somewhere and I missed it).
i don't understand what is going on here or where am I
